GWT refers to Google Webmaster Tools. This is a free resource that can be used to make sure that Google can access the content on your site. You can also see which queries are bringing up your site in search results and which queries generate the most clicks as well as who is linking to your site.
This post is for clients who are looking for an easy way to access the data in their Google WebMasterTools (GWT) account. You will need to have the login info for your Google account.
Step 1: Sign into GWT
Here’s the link: https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools. Use your Google email and password.
Step 2: Click on the Google product icon list at the top right of your screen.
At the bottom of that window, you’ll see an icon for WebMasterTools and “add a shortcut”.
Select this and GWT will forever be accessible in your list of Google products. We hope.
